The Flow State take: Festive outfits, head torches and a chance to catch Santa on the 10km. Dogs and prams run free, which is how every race should work.
The event is a night road run at Prison Break Market in Midrand, Gauteng. Participants are asked to bring a headlamp or torch and to wear festive outfits for an evening run around the market area. The event offers three distances:
The 10 km category includes an opportunity to “catch Santa” before the finish for a prize. Prizes are listed for best dressed male, best dressed female, best dressed family, best dressed team, and best Christmas spirit. Dogs and prams are allowed free of charge. Entry fees are R80 for 3 km, R150 for 5 km, and R220 for 10 km. Children under six enter for free. Online entries close on Wednesday, 2 December; late entries will be available but will not qualify for medals.
The event supports Kids Haven. Each participant is asked to bring a wrapped gift for a child aged 3 to 16 years, valued between R20 and R100. Additional donations to Kids Haven are possible during entry. The market at the venue will have food stalls, live music, shopping and entertainment before and after the run.
