The Flow State take: Two art neighbourhoods open late on the first Thursday of the month. Wear comfortable shoes.
On the first Thursday of every month, two of Joburg’s art neighbourhoods open their doors late. The Melville Art Mile is the looser option: galleries, artist studios and neighbourhood spaces open from 16:00, and you move between them at your own pace.
From 17:00, Keyes Art Night in Rosebank keeps things compact along Keyes Avenue, with new exhibitions, a hands-on Makers’ Table, good food, drinks and conversation.
Do one, or start in Melville and finish in Rosebank. The basic route is free, with some extras ticketed.
